Our initial focus has been on developing specialized nutritional products for people undergoing cancer treatment, with an emphasis on supporting nutritional intake during challenging periods such as chemotherapy, radiation therapy, and surgery.

Dr. Mousumi Saha (Ghosh)
Founder & DirectorDr. Saha built Nourishmate on a food technology career that took her from a Bronze Medal in B.Tech at MAKAUT, to topping her M.Tech in Food Process Engineering at IIT Kharagpur, to a PhD in the same field — recognised with the Gandhian Young Technologist Award in 2020.
Before founding Nourishmate, she worked as a Quality Analyst at PepsiCo (Frito-Lay), and later taught as an Assistant Professor of Food Technology at MAKAUT and Techno Main Salt Lake. It was watching how ordinary food habits quietly compound into diseases like cancer that pushed her to build something more preventive — and more personal.
She now also co-founded Cancer Care with Precision, a non-profit trust working to raise awareness of how cancer risk can be reduced through everyday choices.
